Saturday, April 27th is this year’s Rebuilding Day with around 25 projects scheduled for homeowners in need in Howard County. Our House Captains are visiting project sites, rallying volunteers and ordering materials in preparation for Rebuilding Day. This year we wanted to provide a way for everyone to get involved in Rebuilding Day, even if you are not volunteering on a sponsor team.

This Thanksgiving, we want to shine a light on the people who volunteer there time to give back to their community through Rebuilding Together Howard County. This would not be possible without the team of dedicated volunteer home inspectors who visit homes, determine what repairs are necessary and conduct a technical inspection that is submitted back to RTHC.

Over 200 members of the Oakland Mills Middle School (OMMS) staff, students and family participated at some point in improving the home and life Mrs. Wilson, a Howard County resident. Mrs. Wilson came to Rebuilding Together Howard County with an urgent repair request. This small request blossomed into multi-day repair projects and a touching story of our community helping others in need.

September 15 – 16th, 2018 marks this year’s Rebuild-a-Block program where volunteers will be restoring homes and a community center in Howard County, Maryland.
