Sponsor Spotlight: Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church
Linden-Linthicum United Methodist Church has been a sponsor with Rebuilding Together for over 10 years. Each year, the church organizes a team of approximately 30 volunteers. These experienced volunteers use their exceptional skills and talents to repair the home of a low income homeowner living in Howard County. The houses they choose require major repairs and transform life for the better for homeowners over the years.
The church is committed to giving back to the community through the sponsorship of the Cold Weather Shelter, Grassroots, and the Howard County Food Bank, among others. Mission teams travel annually to Wilmington to serve the homeless, Appalachia to repair homes, and Haiti to provide medical and ministerial support. Christopher Hoffman will be taking over as house captain in 2017 and says he is “eager to get involved with such a great organization. Our former house captain, Steve Jaczun, was a great mentor and I hope to continue his commitment to serving the community.”
