Testimonials
"I can't even begin to tell you how amazing my house looks. Not only was the sunroom done, but having the house painted and the yard look so beautiful makes it hard to believe this is the same house that stood on this property last Friday...This has been an incredible experience. Not only was I the recipient of all this improvement to the house, but I have met some of the most generous people here in Howard County."
We Need Homeowners, In Need
Are you a Howard County homeowner who is experiencing financial hardships and having to struggle to keep up with home maintenance and repairs? Do you know of elderly, handicapped individuals or families dealing with financial burdens brought on by medical bills or other debts that have been unable to make a needed home repairs? Many of the homeowners are referred to us through County agencies, local churches, senior citizens, community organizations, neighbor-hood organizations, and private individuals.
Making Difficult Choices,
When You Have Little Choice to Make
Owning a home is not only a privilege but a major responsiblity to maintain and upkeep routine maintenance such as painting, landscaping, roofing, exterior repairs brought on by weather exposure. Renovations, appliance replacements and repairs, plumbing, electrical work etc.
Your home is not only an asset but when kept up will keep its value for the homeowner, the neighborhood and lessens the burden of having to worry about repairs not being made.
What Our Volunteers Do
RTHC has repaired and renovated over 500 homes for Howard County homeowners due in part to the dedicated volunteers who offer their time to do the actual repairs on the homes in need. We need volunteers for the annual National Rebuilding Day held in April.
Anyone can volunteer! Business executives, students, secretaries, doctors, lawyers, bus drivers, policemen, bankers, journalists, and county leaders all pitch in to help build a better community! Skilled trades people are always in demand. Rebuilding Together Howard County draws hundreds of carpenters, plumbers, electricians, roofers and people with other skills donating their time each year.
